Seventeenth-century artisans sourced building materials from quarries in the Bourgogne region of France, known for limestone so hard it had to be split by hand. Reproduction Dalle de Bourgogne is produced to replicate reclaimed limestone that is salvaged from ancient bastilles, chateaux, and manor houses, but at a fraction of the cost. Large, random–sized limestone flooring slabs feature heavy textures and warm brown, sand, and grey tones.
